SUMMER ART CAMPS 

Summer Art Camps offers students a unique experience with a wide variety of mediums in fine art, learning about artists from around the world, art concepts and innovative techniques. Camps provides a thorough and comprehensive learning experience which include independent work as well as hands on instruction.  Space is limited so you are encouraged to register early.

  • Rising 1st Graders and up.

  • Monday - Friday 9am-noon or 1pm-4:00.

  • Exposure to drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture.

  • Students will complete 4 works of art.

  • An art show will be held on Friday for parents to view their child’s work.

  • Tuition includes all supplies and a snack.

Science & Nature

  • 1st - 3rd Grade

  • June 3-7

Tall trees, animal habitats and sparkling gems! This week takes nature art to the next level by exploring interesting science connections with each lesson. Students will be inspired to create art that highlights the science behind the wonders of nature.

Construction Camp

  • 1st - 6th Grade

Artists will decorate the interior and exterior of their very own dollhouse or man cave. Learn to select and create paint colors, create wallpapers and rugs, & shingle houses. Artists will build furniture from recyclable materials and paint wooden peg people to live in the houses. Finally, an “Open House” will be held to view the amazing creations!

Printmaking Camp

  • 2nd - 6th Grade

Printmaking is one of our very favorite mediums! Join us this week and it might change your art-making life forever too! Children will make their own stamps and printing plates to print images on paper, fabric and other surfaces. We'll explore mono-printing, block printing, and combining printing with other media to make unique pieces of art. With printmaking, the possibilities to create are truly endless!

Art on the Farm

  • 4th - 6th Grade

If your child loves ART, farm animals, and fresh air, sign them up for Art on the Farm! This half day camp will take place at Cedar Hill Farm in Oak Bowery and includes farm inspired art projects, "studio" time for each child to create, and recreation time around the farm each day.

All About Animals

Jump into your summer vacation by trying new art techniques, drawingssomething new and adding ideas. Students will be creating animals using many different art techniques including, drawing, painting, sculptures, and printmaking.

Layered Abstract Painting

  • 1st - 6th Grade

  • June 24-28

Artists will learn about a variety of abstract painters such as Gustav Klimt, Wassily Kandinksy, and Jackson Pollock as they paint during this fun summer art camp. Students will learn about layering a painting, mixing paint colors and pattern and repetition. The final outcome will be a gorgeous layered abstract painting suitable for a museum!

Summer Studio

Teens have the opportunity to discover several different artistic pursuits through this art intensive camp! Techniques include value, line, positive and negative space, perspective and composition. A variety of subject matter is studied using pencil, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paint. Students will also explore their creative voice through exercises in expression and creativity.

Art & Fashion

Just like major art movements in history, fashion has changed, influenced, evolved and continues to inspire artists all over the world. Our fashion designers will use the elements and principles of art focusing on lines, color, pattern, texture, contrast. They will create their own fashion figures and clothing inspired by famous artists.

Typography: Alphabet Soup

Join in on our Alphabet Soup camp to learn about typography and abstract art. Students will create their own masterpiece by using cardboard, paint, and a wide variety of letters and numbers. Learn about printmaking, stamping, and stenciling in this SOUPer fun camp!

Exploring Egypt

Explore one of the most fascinating civilizations in art history. Students will study the art and innovations of ancient Egypt.  They will focus on techniques such as drawing, painting, and sculpture, while creating mummies, masks, and more. Your child will have so much fun learning about one of the world's oldest civilizations and will have several different art pieces to take home

Macro Acrylic Painting

  • Teens - 7th Grade & up

  • July  22-26

  • 9am-noon

Explore abstract expressionism in this exciting week of acrylic painting with a twist! Incorporating other media along with acrylic painting on large pieces of paper and canvas, students will create collages, a series of mini-macro paintings, and more. This will be a very fun, active, week of painting, collaging, and making!

Paper Mache Figures  

  • 1st - 6th Grade

Paper Mache is a super messy yet super fun art medium! Students will create their own paper mache figures by using a recycled plastic bottle as the base. Learn how to shape and create features, plan a color scheme, and paint the figure. Finally, artists will embellish their piece to show off their figure’s personality!

Experience painting, drawing, and printmaking like never before! While creating unique projects, kids will also discover the ins and outs of a wide variety of media and techniques. This camp is designed to give you a sampling of different art-making processes, while also engaging your imagination and creativity.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Full payment is due on or before the first day of camp. Your registration fee includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. In the event of a cancellation, the remainder of your payment minus the $50 deposit will be refunded up to 7 days prior to the start of camp. Within 7 days of the camp start date your payment is non-refundable.

  • A minimum of 4 students must be enrolled in order for camp to be held. You will be notified if your camp might not run due to low enrollment and refunded your payment.
