All classes, camps and parties will be held at limited capacity following strict state guidelines for health and safety. Participants will be seated 6 feet apart and suggested to wear a mask. The studio will cleaned and disinfected after each event.  

SUMMER ART CAMPS 

Summer Art Camps offers students a unique experience with a wide variety of mediums in fine art, learning about artists from around the world, art concepts and innovative techniques. Camps provides a thorough and comprehensive learning experience which include independent work as well as hands on instruction.  Space is limited so you are encouraged to register early.

  • Open to rising 1st graders and up.

  • Camps are Monday - Friday 9am-noon or 1pm-4:00.

  • Exposure to drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture and more.

  • Students will complete 4 works of art.

  • A virtual art show will be sent on Friday for parents to view their child’s work.

  • All supplies and a snack are provided.

Puppetry Camp

  • 1st - 6th Grade

  • June 1-5

Learn puppetry in this fun mixed media class that will have kids using multiple media to create a collection of puppets. We’ll cover painting, printmaking, sculpting, and collage over the length of this class. Puppetry making is perfect for young makers who love building things and making up stories and imaginative games.

Art Around the World

Grab your art passports and spend the week discovering art from around the world! Students will journey to various destinations as students create art inspired by different cultures and styles from Spain, Africa, India and more! If you like adventure and travel don’t miss out on the trip of a life time exploring the different continents through the eyes of art.

Castle Creators

Calling all knights, princesses, princes, queens, dragon tamers, and fairies! Each creator will receive a wooden castle and spend each day designing, decorating, creating furniture and scenery, and of course designing all the fantastical creatures and people who live in the castle! We'll even be adding lights and (pretend) torches! By the end of the week, your child will have their very own customized wooden castle and a complete story about their kingdom!

Teens have the opportunity to discover several different artistic pursuits through this art intensive camp! Express yourself through drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking and experiment with art materials including color pastels, charcoal, mixed-media and paint. Students will also explore their creative voice through exercises in expression and creativity.

Art in the Big Apple

New York City offers some of the most exciting art experiences in the world. Big Apple Art campers will create works of art in the style of Matisse and O’Keeffe as well as art seen by our Big Apple leader’s recent trips to New York, including beautiful subway art by Chuck Close. Campers will learn about art in the MoMa & the Met to treasures such as the Statue of Liberty to Central Park. Start spreading the news and join us for this amazing New York City art camp!

Dino Camp

This camp will study the prehistoric time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Students will learn about several different types of dinosaurs and create fun art projects based on these interesting animals from long ago. Students will explore art techniques such as painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture/ceramics. This camp will be Dino-mite!

Construction Camp

Our most popular camp from 2019 is back! Artists will decorate the interior and exterior of their very own dollhouse or man cave. Learn to select and create paint colors, create wallpapers and rugs, & shingle houses. Artists will build furniture from recyclable materials and paint wooden peg people to live in the houses. Finally, a virtual “Open House” will be held to view the amazing creations!

Fairy Tale Camp

Once upon a time there was a camp where kids explored stories about dragons, trolls, princesses and of course beanstalks! Students in this camp will create several art projects based on some of the worlds most famous fairy tales, while learning different art techniques such as puppetry, painting, sculpture, book making, and ceramics.

Fun with Fiber

Discover the world of fiber and textile art with Andrea Newman! Students will experiment with fiber by creatively using an assortment of techniques including needle felting (cookie cutters and sculpture), wet felting, and needlework to create finished artwork.

Meet the Masters

Are you inspired by the dots, dashes, and swirls of Vincent Van Gogh? Do you love the wacky, dreamlike artwork of Salador Dalí? Join us for a week of exploration and discovery of the lives and works of some of the world’s most famous artists. Campers will create works in the style of Paul Cezzane, Franz Marc, Amedeo Modiglioni and more. Projects include paper collage, painting, and mixed media.

Teen: Paint & Print

Test the boundaries between accidental and intentional art through various painting and printmaking processes. Explore several painting and printmaking techniques such as impasto painting, monoprinting and relief printmaking. Each student will create several unique print editions and a painting on canvas as you learn what it’s like to work as a studio artist. Experimentation encouraged!

Shark Week

What is big, has sharp teeth, and lives in the ocean? Sharks!!! This camp will explore one of the most interesting animals on our planet. Students will learn all about the different types of sharks, while creating art in many mediums including clay, print making, paint, and collage.

Be a Superhero!

  • 1st - 6th Grade

Get your capes, masks, and art superpowers ready! Learn to identify the superhero and artist that you already are. Come with your secret identity under wraps and write to tell about it! We will become Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wonder Woman and other personas and spend the week developing our super powers and art skills. Come along on this creative journey as we will be painting, drawing and imagining our way through the world of superheroes.

Art Making Machines

  • 3rd - 8th Grade

Science, engineering and art are combined in this STEAM-based art camp. Students will create art making robots and art making machines including doodle bots paint bots and pendulums. Students will utilize problem solving skills, learn about wiring and motors and explore the science behind their art creations.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Full payment is due on or before the first day of camp. Your registration fee includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. In the event of a cancellation, the remainder of your payment minus the $50 deposit will be refunded up to 7 days prior to the start of camp. Within 7 days of the camp start date your payment is non-refundable. Cancellations must be received in writing, via email, up to 7 days prior to the first day of camp. Cancellations within 7 days of the camp start date will not be refunded or credited towards another camp or class. Additionally, any days missed during the camp week, even in the event of unexpected illness, will not be refunded and make up classes are not offered.

  • A minimum of 6 students must be enrolled in order for camp to be held. You will be notified if your camp might not run due to low enrollment and refunded your payment.
